Participation begins with a complimentary preliminary evaluation of performing arts and stage design projects, Performing Arts Designers, Set Designers, Theater Architects, Costume Designers, Lighting Designers, Stage Directors, Scenic Artists, Prop Makers, Choreographers, Stage Managers, Sound Designers, Multimedia Installers, Performance Artists, Special Effects Coordinators, Makeup Artists, Pyrotechnic Designers, Performing Arts Brands, Performing Arts Professionals, Theatre Companies can register at A’ Design Awards to submit a work for the Performing Arts Awards, and get a preliminary score for their work. Projects that pass the preliminaries can proceed with nomination, however it shall be noted in advance that there is a nominal fee for nominating entries for Performing Arts Awards consideration.
The A’ Performing Arts, Stage, Style and Scenery Design Awards recognize excellence in the visual and experiential design of live performance. From theatrical sets and concert stages to costumes, choreography, lighting, props and immersive performance environments, the competition celebrates creative work that transforms artistic performances into memorable experiences. Entries are evaluated anonymously by an international jury of performing arts professionals, stage designers, architects, costume designers, lighting specialists, scenic artists, directors and academics, ensuring recognition is based on creativity, originality, visual impact, functionality, technical execution, audience experience and design excellence.
Performing Arts Awards Timeline & Eligibility
Deadline for entries to A’ Performing Arts, Stage, Style and Scenery Design Awards is on September 30, 2026. Results of the A’ Performing Arts, Stage, Style and Scenery Design Awards will be announced on May 1, 2027. Professional-edition laureates of the A’ Performing Arts, Stage, Style and Scenery Design Awards will be granted the highly coveted A’ Design Prize which contains a series of PR, marketing and publicity tools to celebrate the status of winning the Performing Arts Awards.
